This project involved a full re-roof of a family home after the homeowners began experiencing active leaks and signs of damp ingress. Having recently moved into their first property, the family required a reliable domestic roofing contractor who could deliver a high-quality solution, provide long-term guarantees, and complete the works with minimal disruption to everyday life.

The Challenge

The existing roof on the older property had reached the end of its serviceable life and was starting to fail, leading to leaks throughout the home.

As a household with young children, the clients needed a solution that remained within budget while allowing family routines to continue as normally as possible. Minimising noise, maintaining safety, and keeping the property protected throughout the works were key priorities.

A further complication was the lack of rear garden access, which required careful planning around scaffolding, materials handling, and site logistics.

Our Solution

The project was planned in detail from the outset to ensure a safe, clean, and considerate working environment. Neighbours were informed in advance, and vehicle movements and deliveries were scheduled to reduce disruption.

The homeowners were supported through the process of obtaining surveys and building control approval, and advice was provided on material selection to achieve the best balance of cost, durability, and performance. Full risk assessments were carried out prior to works commencing, and the schedule was adapted to accommodate the presence of young children, with particular attention paid to managing noise levels.

Due to restricted rear access, a bespoke scaffold structure was designed and erected over the side extension. This provided secure access for the roofing team while protecting the extension roof and safely containing debris. All materials were transported from the front of the property to the rear using the scaffold system, avoiding the need to move materials through the home and ensuring the family could remain comfortably in residence throughout the project.

The Results

The re-roofing works were completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to the household. Throughout the project, the roof remained fully watertight, keeping the property protected at all times.

The completed roof delivered a high-quality finish that significantly improved both the weather protection and overall appearance of the home, providing the homeowners with long-term peace of mind.

Client Feedback

“We couldn’t be happier with the work carried out on our home. From start to finish, the team was professional, considerate, and incredibly accommodating, especially with our young children and the challenges of having no rear access. The communication was excellent, the process caused minimal disruption, and the quality of the new roof has given us complete peace of mind. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy roofing company.”
